What inspires Taarini?
Taarini Vohra, Founder, served as the President of Youth for Debate at Columbia University from 2008 until 2011. During this time, the organization gained Columbia recognition, developed a standardized public speaking and debate curriculum, and eventually established itself as a 501c3 national non-profit. By 2011, Youth for Debate had grown to include over 60 volunteers and teach over 4,000 students in New York. At Columbia, Taarini majored in economics.
After graduating from college, she worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. for two years in New York in the Investment Banking Telecom, Media, and Technology Group. Currently, she is an associate at Silver Lake Partners, a private equity firm with a focus on technology investments.
Taarini grew up in Dallas, Texas and was on the debate team at The Hockaday School. She was the National Forensic League National Champion in 2007.
